D3Publisher of America Inc. (D3PA) has announced that it will start bringing titles to gamers through the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) later this year. The first three games to hit the XBLA platform through the D3PA service are Mad Tracks, a racing game that takes its motivation from the pull-back-and-go toy cars of gamers’ youth, RocketBowl, Xbox Live Arcade’s first bowling game, which brings the fun of diminutive golf to the bowling alley, and Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, a downloadable version game, that has also released on the Nintendo DS and PSP, combines match-three puzzle gameplay with strategy, character-building elements and a relentless storyline set in the beloved Warlords universe.

PSP emulation and remote control on your PC |
Download Free technews From viewzoft
Playing a portable console on a static PC may seem little backward, but the PSP homebrew community seems to have no qualms about creating two separate ways of getting their PSP games to play on their puter. The first is a little more conventional in that its apparently the first working PSP emulator for the PC. So far the only proof is some screenshots of various commercial and non-commercial 2D PSP games, so if you want to be a doubting Thomas its your prerogative. The second option for PSP on PC action uses a piece of homebrew software called RemoteJoy and a simple USB cable, which apparently lets you see and remotely control your PSP through your computer. The evidence here is a lot more convincing, with a shaky YouTube video after the break showing keyboard control, completely synced screens, and daunting command lines. These latest examples just make us wonder what the PSP could be capable of if Sony stopped holding back, or -- dare we say it? -- started supporting its homebrew community. Then again, we cant deny relishing the subversive element of the whole scene.

Omni-directional treadmill could put you in the game |
Download Free technews From viewzoft
Sure, you get a pretty good workout on that regular treadmill, but dont you think you could burn more calories if you had a little directional freedom? Well, thanks to the ridiculously clever people at Virtual Space Devices, youre one step closer to breaking free of your staid workout -- and one step closer to fully immersive virtual environments. The Michigan-based company has been developing an omni-directional treadmill since 1996, and they appear to have come up with a real solution -- a self-contained unit which allows you to walk (or run) in any direction you choose, without actually covering any ground.www.viewzoft.com Next up the company plans to manufacture a device called the iPlane, which will not only allow you to walk and run wherever you want, but fly as well, which should make future iterations of Doom really, really interesting. Watch the video after the break and be stunned and amazed.
